Growing up I loved creating ways to showcase beauty. Whether it was applying stage makeup for my dance team or through artistic sketches, these hobbies led me to my passion for makeup application and the skill set that came so naturally to me. Focusing my artistry strictly through makeup was a seamless transition and I am so fortunate to enjoy a rewarding career as a professional makeup artist.
With 15 years in the makeup industry thus far, creating inspired looks for clients comes naturally and is extremely rewarding. I started my career right out of high school. I always knew this is what I was called to do in my life. I am a self-taught makeup artist and very proud of that. My first job in the makeup world was with MAC Cosmetics. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever think I would be where I am today. Since then I have worked with many high-end brands and artists who have helped me grow into the professional I am today.
Having been on my own with DM Makeup for the past 5 years, I have been able to craft a team of 10 amazing ladies who help me achieve my dream of not only running a successful business but creating glamourous, high-quality makeup looks for an array of client types. I have been so fortunate to work with celebrity clients such as Katherine Narducci (Soprano’s, Netflix movie The Irishmen and Epix’s The Godfather of Harlem), Mercedes Javid (Bravo’s The Shah’s of Sunset), Anne Winters (Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why), Kimmie Shields (Netflix’s Insatiable), Danielle Staub (Bravo’s RHONJ), and Angelina Pivarnick (Jersey Shore). My work has also been featured in various fashion ad campaigns for designer Donna Degnan and Randi Rahm as well as several music videos for recording artist, Lisa Pure. The DM brand is affiliated with top wedding venues in New York including the Inn at New Hyde Park and Russo’s On the Bay. I am also a featured Makeup Artist at De La Mar Salon and Spa. My work has brought me to high-profile events like the Oscars as I worked with red carpet artists and many more opportunities that I am so grateful for.
My signature style is high glam and that shines throughout my work. My inspirations are a number of celebrity MUA’s whose work I really respect and admire, but also, the glamorous bridal looks that I am trusted with and get to create for my many brides. There is no greater feeling than having someone feel beautiful and confident. Watching my clients leave my chair looking gorgeous and with a smile that radiates their confidence is what motivates and reassures me that this is what I am meant to do.
While I love a good high glam look, mine and my team’s goal is always to ensure that the client’s desires and specifications, whatever they may be, are met and hope to surpass expectations along the way.
